You know your pet's normal better than anyone. A single quiet day may not mean much, but a change that is sudden, severe, or persistent deserves attention.
Changes worth noticing
- Eating or drinking much more or less than usual.
- Unexplained tiredness or restlessness.
- Vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, or difficulty breathing.
- Limping, stiffness, or reluctance to move.
- Changes in urination or bowel habits.
- New lumps, swelling, or skin irritation.
- A noticeable shift in mood or social behaviour.
If your pet is struggling to breathe, collapses, has a seizure, or seems to be in severe pain, seek urgent veterinary care.
Bring useful context
Write down when the change started, take a photo or video when relevant, and bring current medication and vaccination details to the appointment.
